Bruch Family, Granville, Massachusetts
Title
Bruch Family, Granville, Massachusetts
Description
Clippings related to the Bruch family.
A set of doll furniture made by Adolphus Bruch, Sr. for Lillian Gaines is in the collection of the Mabel Root Henry Historical Collection at the Granville Library.
The Bruch family used to live on what is now Old Westfield Road. When the road was re-routed a short section of the old road near the Northeast Cemetery was named "Bruce Road." It is said the road was named for the Bruch family but due to anti-German sentiment, likely around World War I the name was Americanized to Bruce. This may or may not be accurate.
