Many is the time, my brother Bill and I heard our Grandfather speak of his cousin Pearl. See the Granville History Facebook post of July 7, 2023 from the parade held June 26, 1954, celebrating the 200th anniversary of Granville's incorporation, January 25, 1754. The photos include one of Pearl Phelon and his new apple sprayer at My grandfather had a clipping of the Federated Church from the Springfield Republican, Oct. 14, 1962, with a note that he attended services there "at the turn of the 20th century" (age 7) -- the Church being "just a few hundred feet away from the famous" Phelon Apple Farm" -- See entire July 7 Granville History Facebook post at
