This house was torn down and there is some question as to its location. The 1940 census shows George Brooks living on Sodom Mountain Road however people who recall the house remember it as being on Cross Road, first house on the left as you turn left from Silver Street.

Recollections:

DBF: "As kids we use to dare each other to go down the short overgrown driveway and peek in the windows, I chickened out."

JWA: "I remember the house there. I think the fire department finally burned it as a practice, way back when."
