There was a major fire in the old apple storage unit, shown on the far left in the first photo. In the late 1970's. The storage unit was torn down and became a basement and garage space. Seated on the scaffolding are Barry Carlson above and David Fuller below in the 3rd photo, working on the construction of the addition.
The main roof was replaced by a larger one to cover the extended span.
