Title
Granby Road 0025, Granville, Massachusetts. Former Baptist Church. Built 1825, Moved 1849.
Description
25 Granby Road, Granville, Massachusetts. Constructed in 1824/25 as the Baptist Church and originally located across the street where where the Federated Church is now.
In 1849 the building was sold to John Phelps for $105 and moved across the street in order to build a new, larger church. The old church building was never turned around at its new site to face the street, thus the back of the building faces the street and the front faces the back of the lot.
The new Baptist church was built by Silas Noble and stood until the 1960's when it was taken down after a fire, and the current Federated Church building was constructed.
