Description
The Granville "poor house." It had previously been the home of John and Maggie Holigan (pictured in the top photo) until the Town came into ownership. Built 1880 (source: Town Property Card). The building still stands at 125 Silver Street.

GML: This is the house I grew up in. My mom is still there and has owned it for 37 years. We had so much fun they’re growing up especially playing in the Barn with all the hay and trying to be a farm."
DBF: "My cousins and I have wonderful memories of that house, barn, land. 37 years my goodness yes she bought it from my Uncle. Across the street, diagonally was a big barn close to Cross Road and we hayed the land there. I like looking at the old pictures and seeing how things were upon a time."
