David Spellman
Silas Lorenzo Ripley was born 25 Sep 1848, and Ralph Garrett Hiers, a bookkeeper at Noble & Cooley, was born 14 Sep 1872. Ripley appears to be about 50 years old in the picture, and Hiers about 30, it's possible that the picture was taken around 1900.
