The barn of Benjamin Clark, Sr. (1805-1889) The note on the back says "Hartland" but there were two Benjamin Clarks (Sr. and Jr.) living on the Granville side of the Granville/Hartland border according to the Ben Jones 1.0 map (locations 201 and 202).

There was also a sawmill at the Clark property according to the 1855 map of Granville.

Another son of Benjamin Clark, Sr., Fred Clark, lived in a house across from Ben, Sr. CLICK HERE to see Fred's home.

Benjamin Clark, Sr. was born in Stonington, CT. in 1805 and died in West Granville in 1889. He is buried in the West Granville Cemetery.
