Thankful Clark Sampler, circa 1813]]> A sampler created by Thankful Clark at the age of 14. It reads as follows (verbatim):

"Make well of preciou
time * while in your
power be careful
well to husband eve
ry * hour the time will
come * when you will
sore * lament the ha
ppy moments that you mispent"

Born: About 1799 (dates vary; other records say 11 Apr 1800 but that date does not track with date of Baptism, see below). Census records indicate she was born in Rhode Island.
Baptized: 27 Jan 1799 by Rev. Timothy Mather Cooley
Father: Daniel Clark, joined the Granville Congregational Church 18 Dec 1798. Other records indicate her father was Benjamin Clark.
Mother: Elizabeth (?)
Married: Raymond Green, 10 Sep 1820
Died: 20 Apr 1884
Buried: West Granville Cemetery, West Granville, MA.
