Ragna Edith Mielow was born October 15, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the eldest of four daughters of Danish immigrants, Max and Ane Marie Mielow. The Mielow family lived in Springfield and later Longmeadow. Edith married Homer J Birch in 1943. She died in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 28, 2016 (100 years old). Edith would have been about 7 years old in these pictures. The sister is 3 year old Erna. (thanks to Dave Spellman for providing the preceding information).
From the Viola Elizabeth Bettinger (1899-1983) photo album. Viola Bettinger was a teacher at the old Granville Village School during the early 1920's.
