From the Viola Elizabeth Bettinger (1899-1983) photo album. Viola Bettinger was a teacher at the old Granville Village School during the early 1920's. Her photo album was donated to the Granville Library Historical Room. All photos in the album have been scanned and added to Granville History Digital Collection. The hairpin corner near Henry Johnson's farm. Main Road, Granville, Massachusetts.
Henry B. Johnson (1892-1986) was married to Bessie May Peebles (1902-1967). Henry was a veteran of World War I, having served in the Army from 1917 to 1919. Bessie and Henry are buried in the Silver Street Cemetery in Granville.
'Map location is approximate. The road has been completely changed to eliminate the hairpin and raise the grade.
