Leon Clark and Bertha (Bancroft) Clark
Leon Clark (1884-1971) was the son of Frank Watson Clark and Jennie Augusta (Jacobs) Clark. Leon was born in Granville and died in Hartford. Bertha (Bancroft) Clark (1894-1981) was the daughter of Bert Bancroft and Nettie Marilla (Davis) Bancroft. Bertha was also born in Granville and died in Hartford. Both are buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill, CT. Leon and Bertha had two sons, Earl F. and Raymond B. Clark.
Bertha was a direct descendant of Samuel and Sarah (White) Bancroft, Granville's first settlers (about 1735).

Frank Watson Clark Family
People, Family, Granville (Mass.)
Frank Watson Clark (1857-1917) was born and lived in Granville, the son of Franklin and Susan (Couch) Clark. Frank married Jennie Augusta Jacobs (1860-1897). They had two children, Leon and Harry Clark.
Frank married Nettie Marilla Davis Bancroft (1874-1949) in 1905. They had one child, Richard Newell Clark (1908-1953).
Nettie's first husband, Burton E. Bancroft, died in 1902. She and Burt had two children, Bertha Elizabeth and Luther J. Bancroft.
