In 1849 the building was sold to John Phelps for $105 and moved across the street in order to build a new, larger church. The old church building was never turned around at its new site to face the street, thus the back of the building faces the street and the front faces the back of the lot.

The new Baptist church was built by Silas Noble and stood until the 1960's when it was taken down after a fire, and the current Federated Church building was constructed.]]>

In 1972 the Federated Church gave the Historical Room the various books and records for the Baptist Church, a list of which are provided here. These records are available to review in the Historical Room by appointment and are not loaned out.]]>
